Russell W. Woods, 75, of Fredericktown died November 8, 2009 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

He was born February 3, 1934 at Grosse Pointe, Michigan, the son of Ira “PeeWee” and Virginia (Brown) Woods.

On January 9, 1960 he was married to Helen E. Woods at Roselle who survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by two sons, Duane Woods and Clark Woods both of Fredericktown; and one daughter, Cynthia Griffon of Fredericktown.

Mr. Woods had ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was a member of Silvermines General Baptist Church and enjoyed his family and friends, farming and fishing.

Mr. Woods was a U.S. Army veteran.

Services were held November 10, 2009 at Follis and Sons Funeal Home.

Burial was on November 11, 2009 at Marcus Memorial Park Cemetery in Fredericktown.

Pallbearers were: Russell Woods, Dustin Royer, Billy Osborne, Brandon Hale, Lee VanderMierden and Cletis Vest.

Honorary pallbearers were Bradley, Douglas and Gregory Walker.
