Park Hills residents, start your decorating.
The city will hold its annual Christmas decorating contest in December for residences and businesses.
Homes will be judged between Dec. 13 and Dec. 19. Decorations should be lit on those evenings. There are no requirement themes or styles of decoration. Some judges like a lot of lights, while others prefer a simple theme, so decorate to your own taste.
All homes will be judged, so there is no need to call city hall to be considered for the prizes.
Judges will choose a winner in each of the four wards. Each winner will receive a check for $50.
Winners for the past two years will not be eligible.
Any city business with a storefront may participate by decorating their store windows in a Christmas season theme. No entry fees or registration is needed.
Judging will take place Dec. 15-21 by two secret judges selected by the city. Participating stores must have their lights on those nights.
First prize will receive $100 and second prize is $50. Winners from the past two years are ineligible. Business owners with more than one store may only win one prize.
