Guy David Allen, 42, of the St. Louis area, formerly of Bonne Terre, was convicted on June 12, of one federal felony count of possession of a machine gun, involving his possession of two machine guns on Feb. 14, 2008, in St. Francois County.
He appeared Friday for sentencing before United States District Judge Jean C. Hamilton.
Allen is charged in St. Francois County with three counts of child molestation, two counts of statutory sodomy, and one count of misdemeanor child molestation. The case has not yet been set for trial.
According to prior police reports, the weapons were found while St. Francois County deputies were working on an ongoing investigation into sex abuse. They handed over three guns to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
A woman who had been living with the suspect told police when she kicked the man out of her home, he left several guns behind and she didn’t feel comfortable with the guns there. Deputies made two trips to the residence and found 20 handguns and hunting guns, as well as what appeared to be two fully automatic weapons. The guns included a M3 grease gun, and a Sten submachine gun.
Acting United States Attorney Michael W. Reap commended the work on the case by St. Francois County Sheriff Dan Bullock, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; and Assistant United States Attorneys John Sauer and Cristian Stevens, who prosecuted the case for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

With the fervor with which the Democrats are going after gun ownership, this guy will not just get the max... but he'll become their new poster boy for anti-gun laws.

So.....the guns werent his? Someone else's fault. The sex crimes? Not his fault, someone is lying. So the next crime is also gonna be....someone elses fault. duh

wonderer4, it never ceases to amaze me that just because people KNOW someone that makes them capable of not being able to commit a crime. So you are saying this man was "framed"? You say what happened to innocent until proven guilty, but.....he went to court, and was found guilty. This could be your family, your best friend, your spouse...but you cannot say that person is innocent because unless you are tied to him 24/7 you do not know.

Wonderer-4; If you read closer youll see that I said"If this is the same guy I met"You see I realize I could be mistaken about Him being the same guy I met at that site. That said I will add that since the names, both first and last match and He looks very much like the guy I met,its a very good possibillity they are one and the same from my view. You may also see that I said"if Hes guilty Hell have earned what He gets"Now I dont see where I couldve possibly promoted any misbeleifs or lies about Mr.Allen with my post. Much less than passing a judgement against Him the way I read it.So your reply makes me wonder why you are so quick to jump and accuse others of judgeing Him?As I read the other post I dont see anyone passing judgement.I do see you minimizing Mr.Allens actions with statements like"Its not like he was a mass murderer or anything"Your comparing His crimes to the crimes a mass murder commits in an attempt to minimize them. Then you include the word anything. As if Mr.Allen has done nothing. Why? You may want to ask yourself why also?Good luck.

So, the guns weren't his????
He probably should have taken the opportunity in court to bring forth evidence they weren't his, that would have probably been the thing to do. I'm assuming he did not, so don't come on here making excuses.
As for as the child molestation, I guess he will get his day in court and we will see how that goes.

Junkman4 I have known him for quite some time and first of all the guns were not his, yes they were in the house, but he was not aware of what all of them were, since he was just storing them for a so called friend, that said he wouldn't let him go to jail for his mistake, but he did anyways. It's not like he was a mass murderer or anything, they were left in boxes in the basement, out of the way.
And as far as the sex crimes, it never ceases to amaze me how one person can ruin someone elses life with there ongoing lies, just because they didn't get what they wanted. And he never worked at a job site in STL so maybe you should check all of you stats before you start typing about things you don't know about.
I understand that everyone has their own opinion but how can you judge someone you don't know, and if you don't know the whole story and the circumstances that go along with it. What happened to innocent until proven guilty?

I think this sentence is the least of this guys problems.Just watch what happens when He gets a sentence from St.Francois county for sex crimes.Hell likly never see the outside world again. If Hes guilty Hell have earned what He gets.Im pretty certain I ran into this guy once at a jobsite I was on in the St.Louis area,I had to speak with Him on multiple occassions to manage the work I was doing at the site.I knew right away He had issues.I found it shocking for Him to be in a place such as the worksite I was laboring at.I hate to think what may have happened if He brought that machine gun there and used it.Employers need to check out employees better than His did if this is the same guy I met.

I often wonder how some of you can believe everything you read in the paper. I am sure that you have known someone that was accused of something they did not do. Well the whole story to this situation is not being explained. There are two sides, but you are only reading one, so becareful who you judge cause as you should all know KARMA is a you known what.

I'll bet he takes his guns with him the next time he moves out...

Oh, my mistake! Sorry about that, I thought with it being a federal thing he would get more time. (I gotta clean these bifocals!) You are right, Jamie13, 24 months is not nearly as much time as he needed to get.
I really would of thought them being fully automatic the feds would of came down hard on him.
Maybe they will put him away longer on the other charges. He needs to be locked up and the keys thrown away.

For as much crap as this waste of good air has caused this family, 24 months is a slap on the wrist. Hopefully our good(ha ha) court system with give him what he deserves!!

I believe the fully automatic machine guns are a federal offense. I don't think they will give him a slap on the wrist.

That's the only explanation for this innocent man having such incredibly bad luck.
