The City of Ste. Genevieve is getting $750,000 in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding. The city is also getting a $1 million-plus Department of Natural Resources State Revolving Fund loan. The money will be used to help pay for its drinking water improvement project.
City Administrator Mike Fallert said money should cover the costs of the drinking water improvement project. Bids for the project are expected to be in by Dec. 2. A consultant on the project told the city that its readiness to begin the project is what helped secure the funding.
