For 40 years the Beck family has been growing and selling Christmas trees outside Doe Run on Route B. Each year families make the familiar trek to Beck’s Tree Farm to choose the perfect tree. Customers can buy a pre-cut tree or make their way into the fields to harvest their own evergreen. There’s free popcorn and lots of Christmas goodies for sale, as well as wreaths and decorative sprays. Every customer receives a free handmade ornament, with this year’s treat denoting the family’s four decades of serving the region. An added feature this year is a four-seater sleigh to be used when the weather turns more wintery. Hours of operation at Beck’s Tree Farm are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week through Christmas.
