Mr. Blasterrat, you are so full of crap I bet your eyes are brown. I sit here and read your post hoping you are some 18 or 19 year old kid. At least then, there would be hope that in time you would change your ignorant ways, but I'm afraid you are probably much older than that and are beyond help. No, I have a feeling in not so distant future, if not already, you will be a burden on society.

This is sad... very sad...
Cledith would give his life for any one of us. Yes, he did his job in upholding the law. For those of you who have received tickets, you probably deserved them!
I have known Cledith ALL my life (childhood, school and adult friend). He would never have done what the allegations state. He would have NEVER jeopardized his life-long career for $330.00. Good Grief... He is a fine man with values. I KNOW there is so much more to this than we know at this time!

I 100% agree with "The Professor"!
While my first post was never posted (I assume it was because I was questioning who was, in fact, supervising Mr. Robinson's "supervised probation", I continue to feel that the Robinsons' HAVE NOT demonstrated ANY remorse for their actions. Their lives continue just as before.
The outcome of this whole case was no more than who you know and how much money you have... Sad, Sad, Sad...
I hope Mr. Marler wins his suit and more!!!

I get the impression from reading the article that this suspension may not have anything to do about the pending felony charges, but may have to do with another matter that has come up. Why should they all of a sudden be upset about the felony charges? Those have been pending for some time now. I think something may have transpired recently.

bt-marine; But I do care. Its not just about me or you for that matter.According to you my frame of mind and anyone else who has the same one is wrong.Ill tell you whats wrong. It is people who are yes men and agree with things just to be or feel accepted by others.Wrong is not standing up and refusing to obey by accepting and participating in things that violate our condtitutional rights such as drug testing without probable cause.By your user name I suspect you have been taught [conditioned] to always agree with a yes sir!.Thats acceptable in our military and if its your choice.but at some point people need to stand up for what they truly beleive to be whats right.Wrong is always doing what your told to do even though you may disagree.I think drug testing without probable cause violates my rights given to me by our constitution.I refuse to be a part of this policy. That doesnt mean Im wrong or a drug addict. It means Im a stand up kind of guy..Sadly we have many puppets,if noone stands up then who will protect our constitutional rights? It wont be the yes men [puppets] I know.

They need to do something else besides make it by prescription. I buy a box once a year and I don't want to have to end up paying $30 for something that costs $3. When I get a sinus headache, I want pseudofed, not phenyephrine.

Look on the bright side, if he loses his job, he can qualify for a free cell phone! Yay......
Shouldn't this have happened when he was brought up on FELONY charges? Well, they are just CHARGES so innocent until proven guilty, right?. He's not a felon until he is convicted of his charges. So, unless he is officially convicted and then a felon, he is safe to handle firearms. (Sarcasm anyone?)

I don't think anyone should get paid leave while being investigated for such a crime. suspend him without pay, if he's found innocent, then give him the back pay he deserves. If he's found guilty, he sure won't have to pay back the salary he was getting all that time.

So, if this jantzen had shot a BB gun or bottle rockets at a dog, then he would be doing some major time and no charges dropped. Or, if it was a cat that he set on fire then yes, he would be in for life, no parole. You know that this sounds pretty farfetched but sadly its true. And for the judges in SFC, they all need replaced. Well, maybe not Martinez, dont know too much about her, but all of the others, yeah need replaced.

blasterrat - I've read countless posts from you over the last few months and it is pretty safe to say that the more you post, the lower your credibility becomes and the value of your personal opinion decreases significantly. Most of the time I get to the end of the first sentence of one of your posts and then write it off as a useless, self contradicting, hipicritical rant and go on to the next one. I'm sure that I'm not the only one.
It is also pretty safe to say that my hope in our society also drastically decreases with every post because I can imagine all of the people in this country that I've spoken with that have the same ideas and frame of mind as you. Hope you got your rubber boots on because the doo doo is gettin' pretty deep around here.
ps - I know you don't care about my opinion and my post didn't have any effect on you. Skip the reply post to me telling me how much you don't care because I don't care that you don't care. Freedom of speech blah blah blah I see your post coming.

It shouldnt be a hard decision, He is the chief of police and he "allegely" commited a felony crime, therefore he should be fired and not allowed to work as a officer in the state of Mo. anymore. What will happen though, is that a plea bargin will be arranged and he will continue to work as an officer, except now he will think that he is above everyone else and obove the law. I know that if I was charged with a felony, I shur would not be allowed to keep possession of my firearms, OH! I forgot, he special, He`s the sherrif. People can he be trusted?..., really.

PART TWO, Some employers only test because of the Union that represents the employee tells them to.Many dont agree with the policy. Its usally the ones who dont test non union salary personell.A double standard to say the least. The bottem line is drug testing is a racket.A consortium was formed for Union members seeking a drug free work place. The testing work is contracted to Quest diagnostics who gladly participates raking in big profits at the exspense of the contractors who employee the Union members.Yeah theese contractors save money with premium breaks from thier workers comp. insurers. But for the most part they only care about production from employees.Production eqauls profit in most cases. So we have a drug testing system in place thats Union dictated. One that doesnt prevent drug abuse, one that isnt eqaul to all employees, one that says you got to get counseling if you fail a test before you can return to work, one that knows who uses the drugs and lets them know in advance of a test, one that is unfair and uneqaul, one that in my book is simply a joke.Another reason I refuse to be a part of it.If we are going to drug test, test everyone, not just a few picked ones.

Although I hate to see a police officer drug through the mud I can't help but think if any of us were in trouble they wouldn't have any trouble saying why and spreading it out in large print for everyone to see. Since he is a public employee and the public pays his salary and will continue to do so while he is on leave I think we have the right to know why they put him on leave. They didn't put him on leave for getting arrested so what could he have done to make them decide to do it now? Must have po'd one of the saints that rule this area really bad. To think until he got caught he was one of them. If he is guilty he sure makes a good police officer look silly and if not what a shame he has to be done this way.

Bt-Marine; Actually after reading your post again I see you are still mistaken.I never said I refused to take a drug test,Ive taken many of them. What I said was I refuse to work for an employer who does drug testing.Why.Well you guessed it I smoke weed. However there was a seven year period in my life that I absolutely did not do any drugs. It was while I was on parole,ha ha ha,Ill laugh for you.During this time I still refused to work for those employers. There are over 200 contractors in the St,Louis area that employ persons with my skills.Ive only worked for and quit working for about a third of them.Plenty left for me to chose from.Plenty who still do not drug test.I never have refused to take the test,I have many times told them not to waste money testing me as I would fail. You know what, many respected that kept me on thier patroll,They would actually tell me ahead of time when I was going to be tested, you know so I could study for it.Aint it funny how that works.Ive gotten high with a few ceo s of well known contractors in the St,Louis area. cont.

I guess they like their meth heads in Desloge. The state and the feds should cut ALL funding for that town that helps fight the meth epidimic. If they are not willing to take the most simple steps like this one, then let them support their own losing battle!

Be strong, be smart: you seem very pro-active and a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves, and that's a good thing in today's world. I think someone like you with those good ideas and forward-thinking philosophies would make a wonderful caretaker at the shelter; you should apply immediately, unless you are like many of the rest of us God-fearing Christian folk who are already working two or more jobs to support for the needs of our families.
The shelter is important to our community and serves an important purpose. I truly hope that the right person(s) can be found to act as onsite caretaker(s).

I would hire the person that has trained to read blueprints and knows how to operate a computer. I would then train that person on the systems we use and the means and methods required in our organization.
It is the person that sees a need, remakes themselves in order to fill that need and is determined to lift themselves out of any situation that will make the best employee.
Those that sit back and do just the minimum to get by in the hopes that some high-paying job knocks on thier front door while castigating the 'rich' and complaining about everything that paint all others in a bad light.

Its about time, most who have felony charges cant tote a gun around all day.Funny how He does though.I was beginning to think since He was the law He was exempt from it.Kinda like the Park Hills cop who doesnt wear a seatbelt. If a law is good for the general public it should apply to those in law enforcement also.

Those on goverment assistance should be required to persue, at the minimum, a GED or any other self-betterment that increases thier chances in the labor market. I believe everyone who has a beef with those on welfare really only have an issue with those that are on welfare and static.
Businesses will always try to drive down cost by 'externalizing' as much as allowed by law. Every business must find ways to be more competitive in the market while the cost of government regulation and labor keep going up. It is easy for pontificators to sit back a demonize business and participate in class warfare between the rich and poor. Just muddies the waters and confuses the issues.
Community Colleges do not train potential employees for the specific jobs. They provide the basic skills such as Computer Operations or maybe Basic Electrical Systems that an understanding of is critical in some of todays jobs. Every employer will train the employee on the specifics of the position they are employed in. I would not hire someone who knows how to change tires to fill a position that requires reading blueprints and operating a computer.
